(BEIJING, August 30) – On Saturday afternoon, in the Paralympic Village, the Chinese delegation held a mobilization meeting which was attended by various officials, including Hui Liangyu, vice premier of China and Deng Pufang, president of China Disabled Persons' Federation.
Deng referred to the recently concluded Olympic Games in his speech at the meeting, pointing out that not only was it a successful platform where Chinese athletes were able to display their technical skills, but also that by hosting the Games, the Chinese nation was able to show the world its unique spirit and culture. Deng encouraged those present to continue to pursue these endeavors, enforcing his belief that the Paralympic Games will be just as successful as the Olympic Games, reported People's Daily.
